Winter Shelter

1-Time Volunteer Roles
Recurring Volunteer Roles

The Folsom Winter Shelter (FWS) is a seasonal, community-supported shelter that provides a warm, safe place to sleep, a hot meal, and compassionate connection for unhoused individuals in Folsom.

Operating during the winter season every year, the FWS is the only shelter of its kind in the city. It’s a nomadic shelter hosted by local churches, and staffed by over 350 dedicated volunteers who offer food, transportation, and meaningful support during the coldest months of the year.

The Folsom community relies on generous donations to make this vital program possible.

We need help covering costs for meals, hygiene products, sleeping bags, and gas for our transport van. With a $7,500 goal this year, your contribution will directly impact lives in Folsom.
